Grandpa Bill came to visit!

. . . and we all had a lot of fun! Lily showed grandpa Bill her new Tinker Bell jacket (given to her by Grandma), which she wants to wear ALL the time! So, of course Sophie had to put on her coat too. Sophie was her usual obstinate self at first, but within a few minutes was running to grandpa Bill with open arms and lots of high pitched squealing- which then of course Lily had to imitate- Yes it was loud! . . . but we all had a lot of fun!

Lily is showing grandpa Bill her school work.

She needed a little help with the zipper:)

Love this picture!

Sophie the smarty pants?!

Sooner than I thought, Sophie is following in Lily's smarty pants ways!
Today, we were all goofing around when a very loud noise came out of Sophie (I'm sure you know what I mean). I then said, "Hey, who made that noise!". Without missing a beat, Sophie said, "Lily did- hahaha!". By this time Lily was also on the floor laughing, I think because she was so surprised by Sophie's little joke. My goodness, with some of the things that come out of Sophie's mouth, sometimes I forget that she is only 18 months! Can't wait to see what the terrible two's will bring;)

Kids n motion!

Here's how we spent our Columbus day: we went to a place called Kids n Motion per a tip given to me by a co-worker and had the best time! The place is filled with blow up slides and rock walls, moon bounces and much more! Lily couldn't believe her eyes when she first stepped into the first huge room. It cost about ten dollars total for an hour and a half of great and tiring fun- an incredible deal in my opinion! Enjoy the pics!

Will and I couldn't resist being big kids too, as you can see from the videos below. and thanks to his recent weight loss, Will came in just under the 200 lb weight limit to get on the inflatables- Way to go, honey!

Watch the kid on the left-hehe:)

Sophie's first painting experience!

I don't know what got into me, but today when Lily was painting, instead of giving Sophie a few crayons, I gave her paint! It actually went fine; no disasters occurred-as you can see from the video below, Sophie does not really like to have messy hands:) Wow, differences between my two children continue to surface quite frequently!

Lily's first headstand!

Lily has been obsessed with doing a headstand ever since she saw her 2ND cousin Keller last weekend at a family barbecue. They were both actually quite focused on this task for some time and I finally had to stop Lily for fear that she would get too bruised up! On Monday, I showed her how to do headstand against the wall and after about a thousand unsuccessful trials, she all of a sudden got it! Here it is, my little daredevil's first headstand:

Not to be outdone- here's Will's headstand. Lily was quite impressed! Sorry honey, hope you don't mind showing of your boxers:)

Lily's first ride on the big yellow school bus!

Mrs. Vargas (lily's teacher) posted some pictures of the big event on her pre-k class blog.
Check out this link:

You can only see the top of her head in one picture on the bus, but fun to look at anyway. Also, if you're interested you can read about the things Lily is learning in Mrs. Vargas' class.
Preschool is so much fun!
