Christmas 2010!

Merry belated Christmas! As they had hoped, the girls were indeed on the good list this year:)

One of Sophie's(or shall I say my little back seat driver's) favorite toys was this traffic light.

One of Lily's favorite presents was this snow queen outfit.

The 4 ft dollhouse, which has been played with once- when the floors were used as grocery store shelves;)

Onto grandma and grandpa Gerry's house to celebrate some more! Oh what fun!!

And finally, at grammy and beebop's house to celebrate with lots more family. The highlight for me was meeting Katie and Dan's new little boy, Jake. The highlight for Lily was a joke about peanut butter and smelly!!:)

Here are a few Christmas present creations, which we worked on over Christmas break:
Lily's beautifully painted vases

The infamous donut maker. It really was Cra-Z-cookin at our house!

The huge cra-Z contraption was difficult to clean and completely unnecessary in the process, but completely indispensible in Lily's eyes:)

We enjoyed every gritty bite!

Merry Christmas!

'Tis the Season. . .

1. For Lily's Christmas program at school! Please enjoy some live footage of Lily's school Christmas program this year. She even had her own line to say this year- I almost missed it- phew!
(Please excuse the shaky footage. I had a little wiggle worm attached to my side)

Pre-show

 2. Grammy's birthday! Happy Birthday, Grammy- we love you!

3. Gingerbread house making!

Sophie's masterpiece

Lily's masterpiece

4. The Nutcracker! This was the girls' very first time going to the ballet! A shortened performance of the Reston Conservatory Ballet's Nutcracker was the perfect start! (If only they could have made it even a little shorter for one little wiggle worm. . .)

We attended the performance with Lily's good friend, Sophie. Sophie, Lily and Sophie had such a great time being together, all dressed up at the theater- girls like that sort of thing:)

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a very fun Thanksgiving day at our house this year. Grandma and grandpa Gerry came bearing the most important part of Thanksgiving dinner (the turkey and stuffing) and we had a delicious feast and a wonderful time together. I'd say Old Maid was the highlight of the evening. I won't say who ended up as the Old Maid- you know who you are- just kidding-hehe:)
Anyway, enjoy some pics of the day.

Thanksgiving morning: watching the parade

(food prep took precedence over more pics)

Jump to the Feast:

(food prep also took precedence over Lily and Sophie getting dressed- oh well!)

Come on everyone- its getting cold!

Later that night, Sophie is still going strong:

The next morning, Lily gives Grammy a thanksgiving day recap:)

Song Time (latest edition)

I think you are going to enjoy the latest selection of songs featuring Lily and Sophie. First, they will each perform a solo of their choice and then a special bonus duet:)
*I just hope the differences in their choice of solo song does not in any way foreshadow their future teenage years!

I love this next duet. They will be singing their version of Lead Me by Sanctus Real.
Just so you know, the actual words are, "don't leave me hungry for love, chasing dreams. . ."
and in case you can't quite understand them, their version is "don't leave me hungry for lunch, chasing drink. ."
