We moved!. . .

and I've finally got the pictures up of the new (new to us anyway) house that we're renting out in Lorton. Enjoy:)
First, the exterior:

Backyard

Side yard

Other side yard

Welcome inside! here's the entry/ living room
(we got the couches for a great deal on craig's list)

Eat in kitchen area

Kitchen (tiny, but big enough for the semi-homemade/5 minute meals that I'm now famous for)

Office/space where we stuck some odds and ends for the time being:)

Downstairs bathroom

Playroom
a few ikea and home depot buys made this room complete

On to the upstairs
Area between the bedrooms and bathroom

Upstairs bathroom

Master bedroom

until we get a dresser this love seat is the storage area for Will's t-shirts, casual pants, hats, etc. . .

Guest room (more furniture pending)

The girl's room
(what you see above Lily's bed is a pre-existing bunk bed, which I turned into a canopy-haha!)

Well there you have it! Stay tuned for more details/updates about our new place coming soon:)

  4. Thanks! I didn't really do very much, though, in terms of decorating. Its really just new curtains and a few new pieces of furniture(assembly probably took me longer than it should have though:))- I spent most of my time on the play room and kid's bedroom.
Also, Will did a lot of de-vining in the front yard in addition to basic mowing and weedwacking. The garden beds (and they are numerous) have yet to be weeded or raked or tilled etc.- so overwhelming! Oh well!

  5. Loved seeing your home. Now that we know Lily can ride her bike and the Jeeps have room to roam, even more reason to be happy you made the move...not always easy, but it will be worth it in the long run, Katie!
