Another school year begins!

Lily, started K4(kindergarten 4) on Tuesday. It went well! Sorry, no pictures of her first day this year, as the memory card in our camera mysteriously disappeared a week or so ago. Very suspicious. . .  Anyway, just picture her like this except a bit taller and with shoulder length hair- we actually got a mommy and me cut at Cartoon Cuts over the weekend. It was actually a bit awkward because when it was time for my hair to be cut, Will took the girls to look for school shoes and I was left sitting there by myself watching Dora the Explorer. I got a few strange glances(haha), but oh well, at least my hair is finally cut! But I digress.
One really great thing was that Lily was actually keen on the idea of being dropped off in the kiss and ride area at school so that I didn't have to park and walk in with her (and Sophie)- Huge time saver! I could tell she was loving being doted on by the older girls and sweet Mrs. Lanford who ushered her into school, so I didn't feel a bit guilty either:)
When I picked her up from school she was in a very good mood (even shared her leftover teddy grahams with Sophie) and eager to tell me how she had learned what God did on each day of creation. She was espcially fascinated by the earth pushing itself up from underneath the sea to create land on day number 3, I think?- better ask her again tomorrow:) When I asked her what her favorite part of the day was she quickly replied, "Nap time because Mrs. Estevez had some beautiful sleepy time music and my mat was cozy". Yikes!- what happened to my daughter! Her next favorite part of the day was coloring. Sounding more like my daughter, but I felt the need to ask again just to make sure. Her third and final best part of the day was eating- that's my Lily!
Well, here's to a great year!
