Lily's first week at preschool!

Wow- Lily’s very first week of preschool has just passed and it went great! When I dropped her off on the first day she sat willingly in her seat in which a puzzle had been placed for each kid to play with before school started. She quickly went to work and soon forgot I was even there. Not exactly the scene I was expecting ;) All day I couldn’t wait to pick her up to see how her day went. When I finally returned after work, I was pleasantly surprised to hear that all of the things I was worried about were actually non-issues. I know, I know, I worry too much (it runs in the family)- I’m getting better though and I try to remember Luke 12 when I feel worry creeping back! Anyways, it turns out that Lily raised her hand to use the bathroom 3 times and did so without any help (flushing too!), was the first one to fall asleep at nap time, and didn’t want to leave when I came to pick her up!

The rest of the week went similarly. In addition, over the course of this week I transitioned Lily to underpants at bedtime too and she hasn’t wet the bed once! I think it must be psychological- now that she is in school she must feel very grown up and ready to ditch the pull ups- Yeah!!! Lily is growing up so fast. I can’t believe how time flies!

Here are pictures of Lily during her first week of preschool. I tried to capture a pic each day so that most of her uniform wardrobe is featured:)

Notice the cute lady bugs on the shorts part of the skort:)
