Lily surprised me, though, by going willingly with the dental hygienist and not freaking out when I went back to the waiting room with Sophie- I was a bit surprised that they preferred me to sit in the waiting room seeing as Lily is only 3- but oh well!
A little while later, she came back into the waiting room with a new pink and purple little mermaid toothbrush in hand saying very excitedly, "see my teeth are all clean now!" The hygienist said that her teeth looked good and fortunately, no cavities. Whew! Slightly worried about that since, I'll admit, there has been an occasional missed teeth brushing session- in my defense this has occured primarily on chaotic days! And finally, the best part of all: the treasure chest (or cardboard box filled with cheap plastic toys:)). Lily happily chose a charm bracelet and the hygienest kindly let Sophie pick out a red necklace, which she was also very happy about!
*disclaimer- the necklace was taken from Sophie when we got to the car due to being a potential choking hazard!

Shew, you got me worried there for a minute about the necklace;)
ReplyDeleteWay to go Lily!
Thanks Amy! I'll tell Lily you said that.
