Sophie's favorite things as of age 15 months

Favorite thing #1: Baby doll

At the moment, this is Sophie's favorite baby doll. Here she is with baby just after her afternoon nap. She makes sure she gives her lots of hugs and kisses on a daily basis- very important.

Favorite thing #2: "briefcase" (actually a book/puppet theater in its carrying case).

After she has been up for a few minutes, Sophie most frequently grabs this "briefcase" and proceeds to charge around the condo like she is in a very big hurry.

Brief stop in the kitchen and then she is on her way!

Bye, bye- I'm off to work!

I'm back! -Oh man! I left baby at the office!



Favorite thing #3: Lily's ballet skirt

After she is sick of the briefcase, generally Sophie moves on to her ballet time (sometimes the skirt comes first). Now that Lily has her very own Cinderella dress (pictures to come), Sophie can wear her ballet skirt whenever she wants. Here she is trying to figure out how to get the skirt on. It didn't work out, so she then handed me the skirt and said hep!



Here she is dancing her way over to the sliding glass door where she does her real moves.

Favorite thing #4: Reading the book: Toes, Ears, & Nose by Marion Dane Bauer


Sophie has loved this book more than any other since she was 9 months of age. I actually used to use it as an incentive to get her to stand independently- seems like so long ago. With each new stage of development that she passes, she finds something new to love about it and it continues to be number 1!

Later that evening, here is Sophie doing her 5th favorite thing: relaxing on the couch and enjoying a nice cup of milk before bed time!
